

The Ballarat Base Hospital redevelopment is one of regional Victoria’s most significant health infrastructure projects, backed by a $655 million investment from the Victorian Government. Once complete, the upgraded facility will deliver expanded healthcare services for the growing Ballarat community, including a new emergency department, women and children’s hub, and critical care floor.

The Victorian and Australian governments have invested more than $1 billion in upgrades to the Geelong Line to enable more frequent and reliable services for Victoria’s fastest-growing city. Scope Australia is thrilled to have played a crucial role in this work to date, including the Waurn Ponds train stabling facility completed last year, and more recently for the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication project being delivered by the Djilang Alliance (McConnell Dowell, Downer, Arup and WSP Australia).

Scope Australia's engagement on the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre project represented a flagship endeavour for our team in Q1, 2024. As the centrepiece of the Geelong City Deal, the development demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing the demands of the growing region.

Our ongoing work at the Adelaide Brighton-Batesford Quarry located on the Midland Highway in Victoria, from importing materials via large scale rehabilitation, through to exporting of materials to new development sites including ‘The Point’, exemplifies project management at the highest level.

Beginning in late 2021 the team at Scope Australia initiated rehabilitation and development works at GMHBA Stadium Geelong, home of the Geelong Cats.

Longstanding project “The Point’ showcases our team rounded approach to executing large scale projects and our dedication to meticulous planning and development. In early 2021, our team took charge of a crucial task of moving over 230,000 cubic meters of structural fill from an unused site in Becks Road, Drysdale, demonstrating our well-rounded approach to civil development.

Working on projects within our immediate community is something we are continuously looking out for, which is why working on the rehabilitation of the historic and culturally significant Geelong Ford factory is something that we are extremely proud of being a part of.

Scope Australia's involvement with upgrades to Deakin University's Epworth place roadway showcases planning and execution on a large scale. The extension project which commenced in early 2021, aimed to support the future growth in traffic volumes and improve vehicle safety and efficiency through the important community site.
As part of major upgrades to Victoria's roads and commuter infrastructure, Scope Australia was engaged to assist in the construction of the Surf coast regions Barwon Heads Road upgrades over the three year project lifetime.
