Scope Australia’s engagement on the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre project represented a flagship endeavour for our team in Q1, 2024. As the centrepiece of the Geelong City Deal, the development demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing the demands of the growing region.

The large-scale project constitutes development of the 1.6-hectare waterfront site to deliver a dynamic events precinct catering to both residents and visitors. Located in Geelong’s central business district, this project marks another significant milestone in our city’s urban development.

Efficient Waste Orchestration: We successfully coordinated the removal of over 120,000 tons of waste materials from the site. The successful execution seamlessly enabled via our EPA and PBS registered fleet of trucks, ensuring strict adherence to environmental regulations.

Comprehensive Waste Management: Entrusted with managing waste materials throughout the project lifecycle, Scope Australia took charge of material waste collection, sorting, and disposal. Our processes ensured full compliance with EPA regulations, guaranteeing environmentally responsible practices at every stage.

Sustainable Repurposing: Where feasible, we prioritised repurposing and sorting materials to be reused at other sites in the local area. This approach not only minimised waste but also supported the principles of a circular economy by giving materials a second life.

Scope Australia’s commitment to sustainability played a crucial role in achieving project goals, while demonstrating our expertise in the complexities of waste management and its distribution.
